Nestling between the picturesque village of Banchory and the timeless flow of the majestic River Dee sits Banchory Golf Club. Our parkland course winds its way through mature pine and birch stands, its fairways rising and falling along the expansive tree-lined river bank. As one of the most picturesque courses in Scotland, our par-69 18-hole course sits proudly at the gateway to Royal Deeside and will test even the most accomplished players with its strategically-placed bunkers.

Visitors and societies are welcomed by our course’s memorable challenges, unexpected scenery and a variety of par-3s which will test the nerve of any golfer. The exceptional views across the course, which you’ll enjoy from our distinctive round clubhouse, provide both members and visitors with ever-changing distractions as the sun moves west across the nearby heather-clad hills. It’s the perfect place for relaxing in the company of friends and where a quiet drink, savoury snack or something more substantial can be provided in our comfortable lounge, more formal dining room or our glass-fronted balcony which overlooks our famous 16th green.

You can always rely on a warm, friendly service and we provide the very best value using locally-sourced fayre. Societies enjoy their regular visits to the course, and feel immediately at ease mixing with our members where they’ll discuss what lies ahead on the 1st tee or, later in the Club, how much fun they once again found their game to be.

Call us, and be surprised.

What we offer

We hosted our brand-new charity golf day event at Banchory Golf Club in 2022 and what a great day it was. All our players thoroughly enjoyed themselves, the course and scenery is beautiful looking over the River Dee, the day ran smoothly with the great help and support from the team at the Club. Working with Andrew at the Proshop was seamless and made organising this event so effortless. Thank you to all involved and looking forward to be back in 2023

The distant hills, the heather, the pines, the silver birch and azaleas. Lush fairways, avenues of trees and picturesque par threes. And the slow, dark River Dee. Why did I wait for so long to come and play Banchory? With the wind blowing down the valley from Balmoral it toughens the course, but being enveloped by nature distracts you from missed putts on subtle greens. A warm welcome and a great setting for an outing. A must play.

One of the most friendly, accommodating and helpful golf clubs I have ever played at. I play golf all over the world and their service was up with the best I have come across. I would like to thank your green staff for a beautifully presented course. Many thanks for a fine days golfing.

Banchory Golf Club is the perfect location for any discerning client. The course layout is challenging yet fair, which caterers perfectly for the cross section of golfers that attend the usual day. The clubhouse is extremely functional with large function room and wonderful staff.
