Fridays Pizza, Pitch & Putt

A new initiative introduced by our enthusiastic parent members has proved successful and very well supported.

From May to September and running on a selected Friday once per month this fun evening allows the children to take part in the basics of the game (pitch & putt) in and around the putting green adjacent to the 1st tee / clubhouse - followed by pizza time in the clubhouse.

For more information please pop into the Pro Shop and add your contact details to the group.

Adult Competitions for Juniors

5 Hole Fun Junior Golf

5 Hole Fun Golf is held on Sunday evenings (April to September) for the younger junior members and specifically aimed at the 7-13 / 14 year old members. If you would like to find out more on this please pop into the pro shop at anytime - here to help.

Below describes how this operates.

Played over the opening 5 holes (1st – 5th) from the BLUE TEES which are positioned approx half-way down the fairway of these holes and allows a shorter more achievable challenge compared to the longer standard tees.

Aimed at the younger juniors who do not have an official club handicap with the 1st tee being reserved from 15:00 until 16:00.

One parent / group walker is required to accompany each group round the course and assist the players to record their scores on the first 5 holes onto a course score card.

In order for this to function effectively we need the support of the parents to assist from the beginning and going forward. Its great to get involved and see your child both having fun but also to see them progress.

This introduction to the golf course will hopefully provide a platform towards playing for an official club handicap.

HOW DO JUNIOR MEMBERS OBTAIN AN OFFICIAL HANDICAP?

A Junior Club Member can obtain a current Club Handicap by the following:

A Junior can play the main course with an adult player or someone (Adult or Junior) who will then sign the Junior`s scorecard and hand in to the Club at the Pro Shop.

Once the player has returned 3 completed cards they will be given a WHS Club handicap of maximum 54 allowing them to play and enter the club’s Junior Competitions.

Our Child Protection Officer is Dean Vannet (If required Dean can be contacted at the Pro Shop)

Please feel free to pop into the Pro Shop anytime to have a chat on any of the above.
