Forging out into majestic Royal Deeside from the heart of the town, Banchory Golf Club offers a charming course and characterful clubhouse. With views of the shimmering river and rolling hills, its a captivating setting for golf. The club dates from 1905 and the original course was laid out with advice from Archie Simpson.
Banchory is blessed with a hugely enjoyable, attractive riverside course delivering hints of both park and heathland.
Fairways pass indigenous pines, birch and heathers as they flow towards small but perfectly formed greens, with the surrounding hills and forests providing a beautiful backdrop.
Banchory may not be a championship length course and its a layout that golfers of all abilities will enjoy, but its by no means a pushover. The holes demand strategy and precision and, with six excellent par 3's to negotiate, good iron play is essential.
A short walk from Banchory's bustling high street, the striking octagonal clubhouse is a social hub and a welcoming lively place for members, visitors and outings alike. Excellent local food and drink awaits and the views from the panoramic windows and glass-fronted balcony are captivating.
A historic round mill is home to a well-stocked professional shop and further facilities include practice areas and a state of the art indoor swing studio.
On course and off, Banchory Golf Club delivers a highly memorable day out.
